Communication to the Midwives/end users
From Monday 30th March 2009 the company that you purchase Newborn Blood Spot Screening cards is changing. These products are transferring from RR Donnelly to the National NHS Forms Contract managed by 3M SPSL.
Your organisation should already have an account with 3M to purchase other NHS products such as prescription forms. The Newborn Blood Spot Screening cards should be purchased in the same way as these other national products.
You need to investigate your internal supply chain and ensure that you have the ability to obtain a continuous supply of forms. This is likely to be via your Stores or Purchasing department. If you cannot find out who is the lead person/s within your organisation you can email nhsforms@spsl.uk.com that will be able to give you the relevant contact name.
